In partnership with the Conference of Independent Schools and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, 60 educators from independent schools participated in Collaborative Action Research Projects through the 2011-2012 school year. Independent schools are investing heavily in new technologies. The project was designed to support the professional development of teachers in schools embracing a range of technologies in classrooms and teaching effectively with them. School teams were formed of educators wishing to explore and develop their school’s vision of learning in the 21st century, so as to explore and to incorporate the effective use of information technologies into the K through 12 curricula.
